1) What is FlyScreen, and why do I need it?
We believe the mobile web should really be mobile, and adapt to your mobile lifestyle. If you are visiting the same 6 or 7 sites constantly, why not have FlyScreen surf for you, serve it up on a previously dead screen, and you can then choose when to engage or click through. FlyScreen's gorgeous design and intuitive UI make the mobile web a breeze.
FlyScreen can be your mobile RSS reader, your Twitter or Facebook updates, your mobile search point, or anything you want!
FlyScreen widgets support news, sports, financial news, social networks, entertainment, custom RSS/ATOM feeds and more!
2) Will FlyScreen work on my phone?
Yes! Well, maybe. If you have a Symbian S60 or Android phone!
The Android version is in the Android (tm) App Market. Just search for "FlyScreen"- it's that easy!
FlyScreen's Symbian version is in public beta, and runs on S60 version 3rd edition. You can find a list of Symbian S60 phones here
iPhone and Blackberry versions are in the pipeline. Feel free to get on the alpha list here: https://www.myflyscreen.com/invite-request
In addition to a compatible phone, you will also need a data (non-WAP at the moment) plan with your carrier.
Your username/login is your full phone number including country code (that you gave during registration) in international format. For example, if your number is (212) 845-9702, then your login will be 12128459702.
Another example- if your number is a UK number: 0790-858-8467, then your login would be: 447908588467 (notice the leading zero is dropped, and 44, the country code for the UK is added.)
4) I have successfully registered, now what?
Now start customizing your FlyScreen with your favourite news, sports, social networks, blogs, etc.! After a successful registration, you will be given the option to customize your widgets right away (with a direct link to the mobile gallery), or to do it later.
If you choose to edit your widgets right away, the link will take you to the mobile gallery, where you will see your preloaded 3 widgets, and a list of available ones to add to your account. Once you have finished customizing your widgets, simply exit the browser, reopen FlyScreen, click on the settings button (bottom right of the screen), and press "Update now". Your phone will sync with our servers, your new widgets will be on your FlyScreen and you're all set!
If you choose to do it later, then you will have the three starter widgets. You have the option to customize the widgets later online at www.myflyscreen.com (and use the login credentials you created when you signed up) or point your mobile browser to http://myf.ly/m.
